Corporate Social Responsibility and Business Ethics

General Description

Although not new in the developed part of the world, the concepts of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and ethical leadership are making first steps in gaining popularity in developing countries, with Armenia being not an exception. Nowadays many Armenians can hardly explain what constitutes to be a good corporate citizen, which is quite often confused with engaging in charitable activities. It is obvious that any for-profit entity is mainly concerned with earning and accumulating wealth, but the current worldwide trend is that this is not the only determinant of their existence and long-term success. More and more businesses realize that they do not operate in a vacuum; continuous interaction with different stakeholders is critical, with serious considerations for the environment, economically vulnerable populations, and the society as a whole.

In light of the above, it is therefore paramount to raise ethical competence and integrity standards of local managers for them to succeed in today's competitive and highly demanding world. With this in mind, the given training is aimed at familiarizing the audience with the theoretical framework for corporate social responsibility and business ethics, addressing the issues of its practical application, and exploring its contributions and limitations to the society.

General Description

Human resources are probably the most valuable resource of the organization. The effectiveness of human resource management defines effectiveness of organization’s work and achievement of the goals set.

This training is addressed to organization’s managerial staff and human resource personnel, who would like to improve their knowledge in the area of human resource (HR) management, develop their skills in recruitment, writing job description, communication, and other fields related to HR management.

As a result of the training the participants will:

o get acquainted with the main concepts and components of human resource management, 
o be able to develop a range of HR management documents, particularly, job descriptions, performance appraisal forms, etc. 
o will find out effective HR management approaches and tools.

  1. HR Management Basics 
    a. the concept and necessity of HR management 
    b. organization culture and HR management 
    c. basic principles of HR management 
    d. organizational chart development 
    e. human resource planning  
  2. HR management procedures 
    a. recruitment and selection 
    b. job description c. motivational systems 
    d. performance appraisal 
    e. training and development
  3. Keys to effective HR management 
    a. leadership 
    b. decision making 
    c. conflict management 
    d. communication and information exchange 
    e. teamwork

The training will be conducted in an interactive manner, including presentation, group work, individual tasks and exercises. Handouts with concise information on the topic are distributed during the training.

Training Duration and Price

The duration of open (announced) training is 15 hours; the fee is 32600 per person (without VAT). The duration of ordered training is defined on the basis of client needs and preferences. The cost for one hour of ordered training is 12000-14000 AMD (without VAT).
