| "My City" Advise Bureau project Since February 2010, Civic Development and Partnership foundation (CDPF) and Counterpart International have initiated and with the financial support of the Norwegian Government are implementing “I-Citizen” project which aims to increase citizen participation in policymaking at the Yerevan City level through citizen empowerment, improved citizen access to the Yerevan City Council and setting up institutional mechanisms for participation by providing phone and face to face consultation and information to the center’s clients. Within the project “I-Citizen” Information-Advise Center was established by CDPF that aims to inform the citizens on their rights and obligations and facilitate the establishment of citizen-community and citizen-state dialogue. For that purpose the Center provides free support to Yerevan habitants on their community and condominium related issues, also on public utility related issues, assistance in writing letters and appeals to the city, collaboration with condominiums and public utility agencies on issues that affect communities on a daily basis. Being secured with highly professional lawyers and advisers and necessary equipment, the Center follows openness, justice, transparency and unbiased approach principles and is open for any person that needs advice or support in solution of his/her city-related issues. The experienced advisers through phone and face to face consultation and information assist the clients to find the appropriate addressee for the solution of their problem, assist in writing letters and appeals, and also provide follow up activity to ensure that the letter and appeal procedures are in line with the law. Opening its doors in March 2010, the Center has addressed more than 480 appeals, 73% of which had a successful ending. The best evidence of the Center’s activity is the growing number of applicants, which increases with 15-20 more applicants per month. During the 7 months of its operation, “My City” Advice-Consultation Center has gained constant clients, who satisfied with the answer to their questions; again and again apply to the Center for the legal consultation. Being secured with highly professional lawyers-advisers and necessary equipment, the Center follows openness, justice, transparency and unbiased approach principles and is open for any person who needs advice or support in the solution of his/her Yerevan city-related issues.
