Corporate Social Responsibility and Business Ethics

General Description

Although not new in the developed part of the world, the concepts of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and ethical leadership are making first steps in gaining popularity in developing countries, with Armenia being not an exception. Nowadays many Armenians can hardly explain what constitutes to be a good corporate citizen, which is quite often confused with engaging in charitable activities. It is obvious that any for-profit entity is mainly concerned with earning and accumulating wealth, but the current worldwide trend is that this is not the only determinant of their existence and long-term success. More and more businesses realize that they do not operate in a vacuum; continuous interaction with different stakeholders is critical, with serious considerations for the environment, economically vulnerable populations, and the society as a whole.

In light of the above, it is therefore paramount to raise ethical competence and integrity standards of local managers for them to succeed in today's competitive and highly demanding world. With this in mind, the given training is aimed at familiarizing the audience with the theoretical framework for corporate social responsibility and business ethics, addressing the issues of its practical application, and exploring its contributions and limitations to the society.

Project Management Cycle
training

General Description

This new training course is addressed to the individuals who are taking a project leadership role and wish to build a systematic background in project management and those who are interested in gaining more understanding and skills in managing all four stages of the project management cycle – defining, planning, implementation and evaluation. It builds up a clear body of theory and skills for each stage, so that by the end of the training participants have a clear competence across all stages of the cycle.

By the end of the course participants will:

  • be able to conduct a need assessment and design problem and objective tree, define project objectives
  • have a thorough understanding of how to complete a log frame
  • be able to select and use tools for monitoring project and distinguish types of project evaluations.

The following topics are covered by the training:

  • Project management cycle
  • Defining stage: need assessment, SWOT analysis,
  • Planning stage: development of problem and objective tree, logframe and indicators
  • Monitoring during implementation and evaluation

The training will be held in an interactive manner, with individual and group exercises, using specific project management tools.

The training is provided by Diana Ter-Stepanyan, who has more than 7 years of experience in field of project design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation, logical framework development, and providing trainings and consultations in this field.

Those who successfully participated at the training (at least 80% of the training duration) will be awarded by completion certificate. The language of the training is Armenian.

Location and Dates

The training will take place on either March 22-25, 14:00-17:30 or March 23-24, 10:00 to 17:00 (depending on majority of registered participants' preferences) at Civic Development and Partnership Foundation (CDPF) office, at 11/5 Proshian Street, Yerevan.

Registration Cost and Procedure

The training participation fee is 32'600 AMD for a person. The fee includes cost of handouts, lunch (in case of full day training), and coffee breaks.
For more than one participant from the same organization a 10% discount is provided starting from the second participant’s fee.
