Corporate Social Responsibility and Business Ethics

General Description

Although not new in the developed part of the world, the concepts of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and ethical leadership are making first steps in gaining popularity in developing countries, with Armenia being not an exception. Nowadays many Armenians can hardly explain what constitutes to be a good corporate citizen, which is quite often confused with engaging in charitable activities. It is obvious that any for-profit entity is mainly concerned with earning and accumulating wealth, but the current worldwide trend is that this is not the only determinant of their existence and long-term success. More and more businesses realize that they do not operate in a vacuum; continuous interaction with different stakeholders is critical, with serious considerations for the environment, economically vulnerable populations, and the society as a whole.

In light of the above, it is therefore paramount to raise ethical competence and integrity standards of local managers for them to succeed in today's competitive and highly demanding world. With this in mind, the given training is aimed at familiarizing the audience with the theoretical framework for corporate social responsibility and business ethics, addressing the issues of its practical application, and exploring its contributions and limitations to the society.

Writing Competitive Project Proposals and Fundraising for Projects 

DescriptionThis training is addressed to heads and representatives of non-profit organizations as well as individuals who want to develop their skills and knowledge in writing project proposals and raising funds for projects.

The topics of the training include:
- Concepts of project and Project Management Cycle
- Project proposal components and tips for writing
- Designing project budget
- Fundraising for projects

 The training will include presentations, exercises, and practical tasks aimed at improvement of project writing skills.

Those who successfully participated at the training (at least 80% of the training duration) will be awarded by completion certificate.

The training will be provided by Tatevik Margaryan, who has several years’ experience both in writing project proposals and in providing trainings and consultations in this field.

The language of the training is Armenian.

Location and Dates
The duration of the training is two days: December 9-10 from 10.00 to 17.00. The training will be held at Civic Development and Partnership Foundation (CDPF) office, at 35 Jrashat Street (entrance from Zarobyan Str.), Yerevan.

Registration Cost and Procedure Participation fee is 25300 AMD for a person without VAT (30360 AMD included VAT). The fee includes cost of handouts, lunches and coffee breaks.

For more than one participant from the same organization 10% discount is offered starting from second participant.

For registration form, please contact Tatevik Margaryan, CDPF Organizational Development and Training Specialist at tatevik@cdpf.am or cdpf@cdpf.am until December 5.

Note. the payment for the training shall be done within 5 days after the training. In case of canceling participation, the registered person should note CDPF about that at least one day before the seminar, and in this case no fee will be required.
